I get some strong pain sometimes in my chest near my heart.can you suggest something reasonable.?

Check for TB this is my son's personal experience.   If u get mild fever also, then immediately go for the Monto test for TB which may be positive for the people who get slight chest pain.

it's called angina

go see a doctor, as it's a sign of underlying heart disease

you're NOT having heart attacks--don't listen to these people, just go see a doctor--relatively soon if possible

HEY DON'T WORRY
IT'S JUST A PROBLEM OF INDIGESTION, IT'S NOTHING A HEART PROBLEM.
DO U VOMIT AFTER THAT?????? IF U IT IS BECAUSE THE GAS COMES NEAR UE CHEST N U FEEL LIKE PAIN. BUT IF U THINK IT'S SOMETHING DIFFERENT U SHOULD GO SEE A DOCTOR
IF U HAD IT SUDDENLY N U DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO THEN JUST HAVE "ENO" OR A GLASS OF "PEPSI OR COKE".
BUT IT WILL BE GOOD IF U HAVE AN ADVICE FROM UR DOCTOR.
BYE N TAKE CARE. HOPE U WILL RECOVER SOON.

I would need to evaluate you.
but here are some probable causes.

Angina.
Tachycardia.
Acid reflux disease.
Hypertrophy.
Hypertension.
Anxiety disorders( which I've had)

Please seek some medical help you may be having a serious disease. there are much more then the ones i have stated.
You need to get evaluated to prove or discard any kind of disease.

How to reduce Blood pressure without drugs.?

Tunguska Blast! It worked for me!

Don't eat a lot of meats. Especially not late at night.

Limit consumption of dairy products and hard cheeses.

Exercise by taking a walk every day. Preferably late morning and again mid afternoon.

Engage in a habit of relaxation.I suggest the best way to do that is through self-hypnotic relaxation tapes that have subliminal music/messages.
self hypnotic

Try this simple Accupressure method.
Take a deep breath and hold it.
Place your 4 fingers on your neck just besides your larynx where you will distinctly feel the pulse. Count till 5 and then leave your breath slowly.
Now take your other hand to the other side of your neck and repeat the same with your fingers.
Repeat this for 5 times on each side.
You will immidiately observe a reduction in your BP.

avoid solt and use vegitable foods only

take low energy foods, low fats ,low sodium with normal protein diet

Exercise,
Diet,
Ginsing,
Red Wine (one glass a day not one an hour).

first of all I must know the level, othewise going for a walk & doing pranayam can reduce it.

Hypertension is sustained elevation of resting systolic BP (≥ 140 mm Hg), diastolic BP (≥ 90 mm Hg), or both. Hypertension with no known cause (primary; formerly, essential hypertension) is most common; hypertension with an identified cause (secondary hypertension) is usually due to a renal disorder. Usually, no symptoms develop unless hypertension is severe or long-standing. Diagnosis is by sphygmomanometry. Tests may be done to determine cause, assess damage, and identify other cardiovascular risk factors. Treatment involves lifestyle changes and drugs, including diuretics, β-blockers, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor blockers, and Ca channel blockers.
The following steps may indirectly help to reduce hypertension.
Low sodium intake.(Sodium chloride, Monosodium glutamate, Sodium bicarbonate)
*Regular exercise.
*Stop tobacco smoking.
*Stop consuming alcohol.
*Reduce fat and oils in the diet. Eat a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet. This kind of diet includes cottage cheese, fat-free milk, fish (not canned in oil), vegetables, poultry, egg whites, and polyunsaturated oils and margarines (corn, safflower, canola, and soybean oils). Avoid foods with excess fat in them such as meat (especially liver and fatty meat), egg yolks, whole milk, cream, butter, shortening, lard, pastries, cakes, cookies, gravy, peanut butter, chocolate, olives, potato chips, coconut, cheese (other than cottage cheese), coconut oil, palm oil, and fried foods.
*Obesity - In obese subjects, losing a kilogram of mass generally reduces blood pressure by 2 mmHg. (Abdominal circumference should be less than 100 cms)
*Control Diabetes Mellitus.
*Avoid worry and stress.
*Avoid occupational, aircraft and roadway noise exposure.
To be on the safe side, it is advised to take drugs on prescription of the doctor in order to avoid heart attack, renal failure or stroke.
If there exists an aneurysm (ballooning of the artery) in the brain or in the aorta without your knowledge, it may gradually grow bigger and bigger and burst abruptly causing fatal condition.

A natural bio-juice, full of phytochemicals from fruits /vegetables, has been alleviating gouts, lowering high LDL, high blood sugar, and high lipids to normal. With the blood cleaner and circulation in better condition, hypertension(high blood pressure) has been relieved and risk for arteriosclerosis(Cholesterol builds up inside the blood vessel walls in the form of plaques) and strokes lowered. Gentlemen with ED have regained strength from better blood circulation. Diabetes case also got relieves. Some chain smokers, who had taken my phytochemical juice, found their lungs are in better conditions.

Alleviation of metabolic syndromes by our bio-juice is the key.

What is the normal blood pressure range?

when i'm at school they teach me the normal BP is 130/90.
Now the researches rediscovered that the BP should be at 120/80.
I think that this is because everyone achieves the predetermined rate i.e 130/90, and will stop the in taking of medicine. This will beat the pharmacy industry, so they make people panic abt the new rate and force to continue to take the pill.

As you attain the 130/90 rate, dont be afraid and enjoy your life.
For a long time, normal blood pressure was defined as 120/80 (systolic / diastolic). Recently, the American Heart Association changed the definition of normal blood pressure to “Less than 120 / Less than 80.”

This redefinition was enacted because of ongoing research examining the long term health effects of different blood pressures. Along with redefining the normal value, the new American Heart Association guidelines changed the cutoff values for the different stages of high blood pressure. Again, these changes were also based on new research which more clearly shows the increasing risk of heart attack and other illness as the blood pressure rises.

ya go according to the doc.....

Based on epidemiology knowledge, drug therapy and non-drug therapy also is part of treatment. Non drug therapy aims reduce all "risk " factors
associated with the illness. It includes exercise, maintaining ideal body weight, avoiding stress, avoiding cholesterol ( LDL, VLDL) high fiber diet,
stop smoking etc. Once HBP is diagnosed, drug & non-drug therapy
should continue life long with regular monitoring to avoid the serious
complications of the illness. Self medication is not advised. You need
to follow the instructions of doctor.

Park's text book of Preventive and Social Medicine ( 19th. Edition) and
personal experience in taking HBP treatment

Sir, Please remember one thing. Once you start taking tablets for BP, you should continue to take it for lifetime.

There is no harm in taking it. Side effects are minimal and not dangerous.

What is dangerous is stopping the medicines. Even if your BP comes to normal, doctors will continue to prescrible a very minimum dosage, so that there is no surge. Surge means the BP shoots up to very high level (in rare cases) which may cause brain haemorrage.

130/90 is normal. As age advances (after 40)doctors say 10 points increase for every 10 years is ok, like 140/90, 150/90 and so on.

But the reading 90 should never go up. If it comes down to 80, all the more better

After listening to Doctors opinions.
the 1st thing I would like to suggest is that you must think of your life style like avoid hurry worry and curry, cut down your salt intake, walk every morning and then get your bp checked and if its still high continue with medications as prescribed by your doctor.
The normal B.P. should be systolic in a range of 110 to 130 and diastolic between 70 to 80mm of Hg.

Yes ofcourse u need to continue the medication, but your doctor will gradually reduce the dosage from 40mg twice in a day to may be once ina day depending on your age n symptoms. Normal BP is considered as 110/70 + or - 10 mg,but normal value varies in accordance with the age too.. suppose a person is 60yrs with BP 140/90 then it can be taken as normal!! so u dont worry n reduce the intake of salt.
All the best
For each heartbeat, blood pressure varies between systolic and diastolic pressures. Systolic pressure is peak pressure in the arteries, which occurs near the beginning of the cardiac cycle when the ventricles are contracting. Diastolic pressure is minimum pressure in the arteries, which occurs near the end of the cardiac cycle when the ventricles are filled with blood. An example of normal measured values for a resting, healthy adult human is 120 mmHg systolic and 80 mmHg diastolic. Pulse pressure is the difference between systolic and diastolic pressures represented like 120/80

Systolic and diastolic arterial blood pressures are not static but undergo natural variations from one heartbeat to another and throughout the day (in a circadian rhythm). They also change in response to stress, nutritional factors, drugs, disease, exercise, and momentarily from standing up. Sometimes the variations are large. Hypertension refers to arterial pressure being abnormally high, as opposed to hypotension, when it is abnormally low. Along with body temperature, blood pressure measurements are the most commonly measured physiological parameters.

Classification of blood pressure for adults
Category systolic, mmHg ,diastolic, mmHg
Hypotension < 90 , or < 60
Normal 90 – 119 ,and 60 – 79
Prehypertension 120 – 139 ,or 80 – 89
Stage 1 Hypertension 140 – 159 ,or 90 – 99
Stage 2 Hypertension ≥ 160 ,or ≥ 100.

If ur blood pressure varies coz of hypertension or any other reason, u have to take the medicines. I'll suggest u to go for medical checkup. and find out the root cause of this. various medical problems lead to BP problems
